Opuntia brasiliensis sounds like a good suggestion to me.

This is clearly not Brasilopuntia braseliensis. The pads are way too thick. And I don't see spines, little black razors. Good luck, you need a good Opuntia key.

The pads are super skinny! I mean REALLY SKINNY! Maybe the picture is not a good one! It has spines... rather long but not as long as my humifusa. Spines are not as thick yet either. It is leaf clone, yes. Growing many new pads. The pads were described in the sale catalogue as almost 2 dimensional. I fell in love with the skinny very “green” thin pads! So very unique! The spines look wicked! I intend to pot it up and have leather rose gauntlets for the job. Need to pot up my humifusa as well! That puppy has WICKED MEAN spines. They go even through my leather gauntlets

It is a brasiliopuntia..... Some users are on phones, and cant see the images well enough, so they miss-id. Either that , or havent observed a lot of specimens....

Thank you Stephan! May I ask, is it fast or slow growing, and how long does it take to form a trunk? How long can I expect it to be comfortable as a houseplant? I live in MN so it will only be out during summers
