Is there a basement under this room. If not moving a toilet is a big job.

Pics of the other walls would be helpful. Are you gutting the existing bath? Sinks are easily repositioned but toilets are not. Swinging the toilet sidways and building a privacy wall might be a more economical option...

There is a crawlspace underneath the bathroom, so access to the plumbing is really easy. We would basically be gutting it, but not taking down any drywall (if that makes sense). New flooring, shower, sink, toilet, light fixtures and paint :)

Next hurdle is to measure if you have 30 inches of space for toilet in new place you want it.
That means once the toilet is centered, you need 15 inches from center to each side.

Space might be too tight to move the toilet where the existing sink is, as the vanity looks to be about 24"? If so the toilet might have to be positioned under the window. You might want to consider a pedestal sink placed on the wall adjacent to the doorway (left wall) rather than head-on in the sightline from the hall. This would solve your mirror problem. Don't be afraid of redoing a little drywall or cementboard to achieve the look you want; it's a relatively easy DIY project. If possible, I would suggest removing the mini-wall that juts out from under the window and consider shifting the tub to the left to make room for a small linen closet on the right. Go with a simple, streamlined look when choosing materials and fixtures since the architectur of your walls is a little busy. Good luck and please post picks on how you make out!

what are the dimensions of the bathroom?

This bathroom is the definitely strangest layout I've ever seen! We might have to have someone come in and tell us what we can do with the walls (if anything) and go from there. Thanks everyone for the great ideas!

I thought I had seen some weird designs but this is definitely weird, is that a concrete exterior wall ? and does it get cold where your at?

It is, the bottom half of the wall is below ground-level. It gets to about -25C for a week or 2 in the winter :( It's such a strange bathroom, I'm definitely stumped on what to do with it. We probably won't reno for another year or two.

Unfortunately they you must be careful if its a frost wall, keep all your plumbing inside and off the surface of that wall or as one of the pros mentioned a pedestal sink you don't want to freeze the pipes. As for the mirror positioning, if I had to put the sink there you want it I would take off the existing window trim, install a mirror the same height as the window trim and re-case it all with a (notched out to accept mirror edge 1/8 " )piece in between window and mirror. If you wanted to bring the outside into the mirror install another piece of mirror on left and case the same.

(see my pic in bathrooms where I trimmed it out similar on two walls lavellee bathroom) looks great and could even reflect the outside to your mirror when looking directly into it from the door.

Just keep the lid down or the door closed. problem solved.
