You need a male and a female to get fruits. But what you call "seed pots" do you mean "seed pods"? The hardy kiwi produces a much smaller fruit than the fuzzy, supermarket kind that are sold. The fruits are only the size of maybe a large grape or so, and no fuzz.

Only the female will produce fruit, but as I said they are much smaller than the ones that you find in most supermarkets, which are not hardy in New England. Yours would be maybe the size of a large grape, and not have any of the brown fuzz that the supermarket type has.
