I agree. I like blue, yellow & green together with white. What is going under the one window opposite the chair? A tv, or will you have no tv in that room? If no tv, I'd get a nice bench and make a seatcover in the colors you choose. If you can sew, or know someone who can, you can buy coordinating fabrics in solids and prints or stripes to match your dining room cushions. Just take a cushion to the store with you when you are shopping for fabrics. You can buy cheap pillows at a Big Lots or other stores and simply cover the pillows.

Were you going to buy curtains or blinds? If privacy isn't an issue, I'd go with sheers or solids because that chair has a lot of "punch" in the print.

When you say "cottage" do you mean this room is at a cottage, or you want it to look "cottage-y"? If you want it to look "cottage-y", you probably want to get a wooden cocktail table in a distressed cottage-y look, or re-do a wood one with a cottage-y distressed look. Same for some side tables on either side of the chair. Because the furniture pieces are so large, you probably want to go small on any tables. I'd go white with the tables.
