2 Questions: 1) What is this weed? 2) Where is FAQs?

There is a tall, prickly weed growing all over my gardens. It grows from a central stem that has sharp prickers all around it and long, serrated leaves with prickers on them. Here are photos I took today.

And 2) ... If I could have found the FAQs, I would have looked this up. I wasn't successful looking online at CT weeds.

Lactuca (Wild lettuce). If you look near the top left area of the New England Gardening page, you will see a link named "Explore Topics". Click that, and scroll down until you see the bold heading "FAQ's" and under that you will see various FAQ links. You can then add them to your "Topics" (also located in the upper left area of the main NE Gardening page) and won't need to search every time.

The FAQ wouldn't have helped with a plant id question anyway. It is a set of explanations/advice and doesn't allow posting of questions.
