My husband and I are wanting to install a fiberglass pool. We thought we wanted to install a saltwater chlorinator; however, the pool installer does not recommend the saltwater. They only recommend chlorine. What are the CONS for the saltwater chlorinator? I've read that it corrodes any metal (ladder, rails, and pump). Is this true? Also, how does the saltwater affect your pool deck? We want to use natural stone for the coping and deck. We are in Hernando, MS.
