Dragonflies are flying

Finally the dragonflies have shown up to patrol the backyard. I counted a dozen flying around overhead as i pulled weeds and tried to keep the gnats from flying up my nose. I surrendered after about a half hour and headed back inside so i could breathe. Hope those dragonflies like gnats as well as skeeters.

I know! My two big green boys are out and about, following me around in the morning. I love how they do that. I haven't seen the smaller ones yet, but they tend to like more shady places, which I have very little of. When I walk across the complex early in the morning or in the evening, they just swarm from everywhere. Our pond has dried up for now, so no new babies until it fills back up.
