Our kitchen cabinets got installed and we are not happy with the stain job. There are wipe marks, it is uneven at the edges on the majority of the doors. The icing on the cake is that it doesn't look like the sample (was a white stain, looks white on the sample but the cabinets are much pinker). In addition, there are numerous corner chips from installation. Have others been in this situation? I'm wondering what can be done. I made choices about the door style based on them being stained, so I'm not wild about paying for the painting, but maybe that's the only option at this point? We are meeting with the cabinet rep. What is a reasonable discount to ask for?
