Vote: which blanket matches these curtains?

Hi all,

I am hopeless at design and I know houzz-ers have great style! Please vote for the duvet cover you like best for our guest room in our home. The blue curtains have a silver shiny pattern in them. Also, feel free to leave in the comments if you generally think I should stick with white bedding or patterned bedding. I know the room needs a lot of other upgrades but right now my budget can only handle bedding. I can afford the duvet cover plus 2-3 cute pillows to top the bed.

I like the way the pattern on the Florentine duvet would make the bed stand out visually and be the focal point of the room, which I think is appropriate. Also, that dark color in the duvet ties into the dark brown headboard on the bed frame. A white duvet would get dirty awfully quick with how many kids will be bouncing on that bed. Lastly, I would leave the throw pillows for the bed a solid color because The duvet pattern and the complementary curtain pattern would be enough pattern for the room.

I just discovered if you hover your mouse over the small thumbnail pictures, a little magnifying glass appears and if you click then the picture will get bigger. That makes it much easier to view.

Since the curtains are a great fabric I would keep the bedding simple so that there isn't a lot going on

Florentine is the complementary duvet because it has the coral color that complements the steel blue color in the curtains and it also has the pattern on the duvet that is diamond-shaped which mirrors the diamond shaped pattern on the curtains. Additionally, that darker violet outline going throughout the duvet print draws in the dark brown color of the chair that’s in that room. Good to tie in that dark color as well! Very nice together! Beautiful print on that duvet!!

Honestly, I'd go with simple, all white or something like the one pictured below. You've got plenty of pattern and color with your drapes. Especially in a guest room, crisp white bedding is always nice. When your budget allows, get enough panels to have 2 on each window. Also, center the bed on the available wall space, it's too close to the wall.

I voted for Mckenna, because I think the curtains are such a strong pattern in a room full of neutrals that they will become the star. McKenna seemed to be the only one of the choices that would allow the curtains to become a complement instead of the star

It might be my monitor but I don't find that any of the patterns are right color wise with the curtains. For that reason, I would go with a nice white. I voted for modern geo but I think any of the whites would work well. I think the white with blue posted above would also work. Again, maybe the colors are playing tricks because others have like some of them but on my monitor they are a no go.

Hi there,

I didn't want to vote for only one so here's my comment: I would go for one of the white beddings with some embossed design (eg Triple Diamond, or Modern Geo) so that it doesn't compete in terms of colours but still brings some texture. So I guess I'm voting for all the white ones? :D

One of the comments above was to move the bed away from the side wall into the center of the headboard wall, I agree with that :)
