Some miscellaneous

I hope this title is 15 characters. "Miscellaneous" uses quite a few. These are just some from the past few days, which have been great for picture taking--overcast and not too hot. But we are headed to the inferno.

Faith that Moves Mountains--we'll see how this one looks later

When You Get to Asheville --again, new
Oh, it's Wild Cherry Wine. Like many things, on a bit shorter scapes
    Mai Tai
The old Princeton Grape. How did that one get in this bunch? It's reliable.
Charming Charlie --doesn't really like it here
It's Andy Candy --definitely for the front of the border.
I never cared that much for Leonard Bernstein (very weedy plant), but it showed a lot of variety this day at the hospital bed.
Jedi Tequila Sunrise blooming among the cannas at the hospital bed. Big flowers; long blooming

You have a gift for combining plants. I particularly like the red daylily one 2nd from the bottom which looks like Roses In Snow but isn't apparently. I enjoy seeing what you do every year in your Hospital beds........Rose Masterpiece is always one of my top 3 earliest to bloom. It's been over for a couple/three weeks here, but boy when she blooms you get your monies worth.......I like When you Get to Asheville. I hope to hear more about it.........I looked all over for Spirit Fox a few years back. When it bloomed I didn't care for the shade of orange it was in my climate. Matter of personal taste I'm sure. Looks really nice in your picture. Didn't have any decisions to make however as it succumbed to it's first winter here in it's sheltered spot. Ironical considering it's Canadian origins.......Maryl

Loving the picture of WCW. I will have to check on the scape height of mine.

I love your photo of Faith That Moves Mountains! I just ordered that one from Emmerich, along with two others for fall delivery. You have so many lovely clumps on this post. My favorites are JP Moneybags, Still the One and Belle Cook. Belle Cook has died on me twice. It was never meant to live here. Still the One died in a pot over the winter. I don't think I'll chance it again. I'll just enjoy your photos of those two.

JP Moneybags is my pick, though there are so many beauties here.

Faith that Moves Mountains was actually a gift from someone for whom it was tender. First year, in the estate garden, which is more sheltered.

Maryl, the hospital beds look good this year, but not everyone on the forum likes shots of non-daylilies.

Mantis - I love shots of the hospital bed. I think daylilies are more interesting with companion plants.

Mantis, so many great pictures and clumps; I can't begin to pick a favorite. But if forced to pick, I choose Rose Masterpiece and Spirit Fox.

I enjoy seeing the hospital bed shots! So many lovely clump shots today, I like Still the One and Belle Cook today. When you Get to Ashville looks good.

I always look forward to your posts. You have such variety, great photos of healthy plants and I appreciate your commentary. Yes, I did drive all the way to southern NH to get Spirit Fox and I'm still smitten. I guess it looks brighter in cooler temps since Maryl didn't care for the color. Maybe the heat washes it out? Orange is not my favorite color in daylilies but this one will always live here. Here it is a magnificent clump and like a beacon in the garden, very vigorous, multiplies like crazy and is a bloom machine. As always you have shown us some beauties. Standouts for me are: Still the One, Rose Masterpiece, JP Moneybags, Mai Tai and When You Get to Asheville. That's a different look on some of the blooms of Leonard Bernstein. It looks like Roses in Snow. Mine has never thrown any blooms quite like that.

Such lovely posts. spirit Fox is a gorgeous orange, Mantis. Your Rose Masterpiece clump is stunning. JP Moneybags is really nice. You haven't got a bad one in the bunch, as usual, beautiful post, Mantis.

JP Moneybags, Rose Masterpiece, When You Get to Asheville are all eye catchers for me although most of them are. As for me, I am always looking for other plants for the garden. I look for one new one, annual or perennial every year.

Great Pictures. Love When You Get To Asheville - I just got it this spring - one of the few from this spring that hasn't put up a scape yet. Faith That Moves Mountains (new to the garden) will be blooming in a day or so.

So many to choose from, so I like all of them. According to Hanson, The Goldilocks Effect is one of the finest polychromes available. Do you agree with that? Is this flower a good one for you? Just scrolled through again, yep, they are all very nice. I do like the color of Mai Tai.

Mai Tai is a quite different color and a large bloom. Well, Hanson recently introduced a cultivar, Another Man's Treasure, that he calls an improvement (better northern performance and vigor) on Goldilocks. So that would not make G the finest. This is the best bud count I have seen on Goldilocks, which indeed has not been a fast multiplier.

Fantastic post! So many beauties. My top favorites are JP Moneybags, Rose Masterpiece, Wild Cherry Wine, When You Get to Asheville, and Mai Tai. Appreciate your commentary as well. I enjoy seeing shots of the hospital beds and companion plants.
