Hi! I would go with something that compliments the cabinet color and is neutral. Such as a light taupe color with warm undertones. Don't go gray, it'll bring out the blue in the tile.

You could match the wall color to the base, a cream color, to make it look lighter/bigger. I think the tile isn't that bad, it's just a small space, so the current wall color doesn't help. Maybe put down a small flat runner to hide the tile color if you don't like it.

I might be confused, but what about trim and cabinets white? … and not a soft color like cabinets seem...

A near neutral gray from the blue-green hue family, like the tiles, could work.

Actually, I like the tile a lot. IMO, the current paint color is what is killing the room. I love aqua but not THAT aqua. It's muddy looking.

I would paint the cabinets and base a bright pure white and the walls in a white with undertones of blue/ green.

Stainless steel knobs and pulls on the cabinets.

Just repeating that from here, I see no problem with a muted, dusty aqua-grey.... is that what grover for example meant: the paint is almost same as floor, so all blends together and doesn't draw special attention....

White and greys go together don't they -chrome or satin nickel items nice?

Great ideas. I definitely like the pure white cupboard and baseboard idea. Crisp and clean for a laundry room. Will take a look at some of the specific grays. Perhaps the absence of aqua walls will reduce the tile.... runners are a great idea also. Thank you so much to all.

Also dressed it up with some stainless steele knobs and will do some natural looking wall tile for back splash

Looking better...you could do a pretty print fabric shade or curtain for the window.

the #3 rule in design. if something is a detriment make it an asset. paint the cabinets white, replace knobs with turquoise or brass, baseboard & window in a gray/blue, walls white. ps. i like the tile.

Paint made a huge difference. Nice job. For a sturdy runner you might try the BIg Box stores. I’m partial to Lowe’s and have flat, stiff runners with rubberized backing in both my bathrooms. They run in front of vanities and provide “landing zone” when stepping out of shower. Between size, stiffness. and rubber, they don’t slide at all. Once every few months I take them out, hang them over the deck railing, and hose off. Easy peasy to keep clean. Around $50 each for 7’ x 2 1/2’ as I remember. A nice light neutral would cover most of your aqua floor nicely.

I think maybe a seagrass runner would look nice.

I would not want to hide that tile.... LOL The woven look is nice, but I can't imagine all the dust/lint bunnies that could adhere to it and any woven item.
