At least three... prefer five. My neighbors enjoy the culls.

So much variety!..I wish I could work as fast as you do..I couldn't handle that many seedlings..even when I "hurry" I'm not fast lol..

Thanks Gary, that's what I was hoping for. Culling must be hard sometimes, but you've narrowed it down to some real pretty ones. Love the blue, of course. And it will be interesting to see if that other blue one holds its red legs. Speaking of red, that First Blush seedling is impressive. It has the red petioles of FB but with more narrow, spear-like leaves. I like them all!

Very nice.....what's not to like? Culling must be a real chore.

Wow, so very impressive that's a lot of work! Can't imagine how you do all of that when it's been so brutally hot. Gorgeous seedlings, it must be very difficult to pitch some of them out.

Love seeing seedlings selection! I know I can not cull anything...

Those second year seedlings, some of them look like fast growers? Like yellows color in the middle left,my eye taken immediately to it.

How large Smiling Susan gets? It has all my favorite traits, yellow, cupped, corrugated...

Iindalana, Smiling Susan Is a small hosta. 13"tall by 24" wide. Here's a little better picture than the one in the library. (By the way, gets a lot more yellow as the season progresses.)

good job, culling is hard. i keep too many. but sometimes they just aren't happy in their spot and takes a few more years in a new spot to reveal their worth, or not.

Wow Gary, I like Smiling Susan! If I find her for sale I will definitely buy her.... lutescent is what I like to see in a yellow! And a space-saver too!
