Monstera concern

last modified: 8 years ago

So I recently bought a Monstera, since having it it sprouted out a new leaf, but the new leaf looks a little wonky to me and not like anyone other new leaf that i have seen, as most unfurling leaves are curled in and pop out not floppy/down. I am afraid that it is going to stay limp like that and I am not sure whats going on. It currently is a few feet away from a south facing window ( I plan to buy additional lighting for it, since I cant move it closer to window due to radiator being right underneath the window), I repotted it a day after I bought it into organic cactus soil and it is in a clay pot. As far as watering, it seems to be on a once every five days and when it gets watered I make sure to do it until the water drains through the bottom. Am I doing something wrong ? I should also add that the new leaf sprouted out and unfurled all while being in its current condition so I thought everything was fine up until this point.

process was moving along nicely
