Are you quilting this weekend? July 7-8

Hello quilters! Did you quilt this week? I quilted my Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt, Celtic Solstice, yesterday and have the binding ready for hand stitching. I have one more BH quilt, En Provence, to load on the frame. I pressed the huge backing for it this morning and hope to get it loaded today. Not sure If that will happen though. My granddaughters are coming sometime this afternoon to spend the night.

Are you sewing or quilting this weekend?

Couldn't sleep last night so at 3 am I was sewing binding on one of the little girls' quilts. I did the second one this morning. Hand quilting to the back to follow.

Have fun with your grands, Linda!

Hope you caught up on your sleep, Theresa.

    You are busy, Lois!

I was on a sewing roll yesterday. I finished the top for the Baby James quilt, stitched a July lotto block, and completed the binding on a play quilt for the church nursery. This morning I took apart an old quilt block, and have begun re-piecing it into a couple of mug rugs. Hoping to get back to it this afternoon. Happy Weekend, y'all!

Linda, my Celtic Solstice is on the bed now. :).

No sewing here. I can’t decide what to work on. I want to start something new, but I already have about 20 projects In progress. I should work on those first.

Just sat out on the deck and hand stitched one side. Then it got a tad warm.

I'm not quilting, but I AM sewing!!! wooooHooooooo….first time since last August/September! This wasn't in my plan, but I have to come up with a quick gift for someone and decided to try a tote! No pattern (as usual! why do I do this to myself!!???) but pieces are all cut and now I'm ready to start sewing! Praying that my machine will work after having been rescued from a flood and stored for all these months! Go, Husqui!!

I didn't get any sewing done yesterday but did load the En Provence this afternoon. The girls were really well behaved and slept well last night. Samantha started out sleeping in the tent made with a quilt in our room but about 11:30 woke and said I need you Grandma. She got in bed with me and slept all night. Charlotte was still sleeping when her daddy came to get her this morning.

I hope to quilt tomorrow after I do the laundry.

Our family of girls left Friday night, I rested all day yesterday (a little sewing and cleaned the machine) and today, when I had planned to sew, the old body says, nope, not yet! We had a fun week with all the kids but, wow, that little one year old is a busy little girl. lol A good girl, but busy. I hope to get the doll quilt quilted tomorrow.....after a few errands, calls to med offices, etc etc etc that got put off last week. And, big news!!!! My awesome oldest great-granddaughter dusted my living room, computer room and the ceiling fan in my bedroom while she was here. What a treasure she is!!! Ok, that isn't quilt related, but I'll feel better while I sew with that all done. :-)

I could use her here Sharon. With all the construction work, this past year, things are pretty dusty and like you, my body is rebelling. I am seriously considering calling Molly Maid. Really seriously!

Do it, Theresa!! It's important that you save your energy for quilting!

Theresa, I agree with Sharon! For an "extra cleaning" project like that you should hire help.
