SOFA selection HELP

Okay Houzzers...need your help on this one! We need furniture in our family room. Looking to do sofa, loveseat and accent chair. Tried the PB Leather Turner but decided we want fabric instead. Home has open concept into kitchen and morning room. Kitchen is traditional..but my style is more farmhouse glam and now my taste is drawn to mid-century modern. Thinking we may need a rolled arm rather than the track arm. Thoughts? Any advice is appreciated! Walls are SW Agreeable gray...floors are acacia with multi-tones. TIA

The first photo is your current room? Can you show photos of all 4 viewpoints, walls, etc?

The Jollene sofa seems like it would go with either style you decide to pursue - Farmhouse Vs MCM

Thank you! I was leaning towards the Jollene but wasn't certain I wanted the brown/gray color. Do you think it will coordinate with a variety of colors? I tend to change my accent pillows often for seasons and Holidays.

I love the Jollene also! That color works great as long as you stay in the same tone with your color choices. As in, don't go overly bright or bold. Stick to either muted tones, or deeper/warmer colors.

If you go with the Jolene, I want to add that we have always had excellent customer service from Macy’s. This may differ in other areas but we purchased a sofa in cloth fabric, quickly realized that leather was better for our lifestyle and Macy’s quickly delivered the new sofa and removed the other, no questions asked. There is generally a restocking fee but they didn’t charge us for that.

Good to know, thank you! We moved the couch in front of the fireplace and considering doing a sofa and loveseat or chair and a half. Considering a gray Chesterfield. Thoughts on our new room arrangement or Chesterfield style?

Any chance of getting the TV off the fireplace and onto the stair wall?

Nix loveseats and 1.5 chairs - they are the bane of good seating arrangements. The room looks quite small. Have you considered a chaise sofa and one chair? I like the reversible chaise for more flexible arrangement options. You can get an apartment or loft sized one. I agree the TV on the stairwell wall would be good. All the gear can hide in the closet under the stairs, assuming you have one.

The room is more narrow than small. The kitchen's wet bar has an overhang into this space as well. Therefore it shortens the room as well. My husband is pushing for a sectional. The Joellene sofa has a chaise, although it isn't reversible. That may be a better solution. Yes moving the TV to the back staircase wall is an option. However we like being able to see the television from the morning room and kitchen.

Do I dare consider a small sectional with a wedge and place in front of the window wall?

Here is a pic of the room from above. It is an older MLS pic. The second pic is a type of sectional we considered. The last pic is our old sectional which we have since moved to the basement. Suggestions on how to best utilize the space ?

I think a sectional is just too bulky and blocks up the space. IMO a chaise sofa at the window, TV on the stairwell wall (mount it on an articulated arm for kitchen viewing) and a small chair or two will be perfect for the size of the room. Chairs might flank the FP or be swivels that float out in front of the TV.
