which knobs for bathroom cabinets?

Which cabinet knobs would you recommend for the master bath we are building? Fixtures will be chrome and top half of walls will be painted BM Revere Pewter. We will be ordering from Emtek- and I'm having trouble deciding between chrome (round or oval) , or glass knobs. Thank you in advance!

Hi , this bathroom is going to look amazing but from past experience I believe simple is key. The style your going towards looks more French provincial with a little modern twist from the glass shower doors. So I think this simple sandcastle bronze Barn Knobs or Geometric Oval Cabinet knobs if wanting a little more would tie it all in perfectly!

    chrome round

Why not both? Glass on the middle two and similarly sized chrome on the others. As long as the size and shapes relate to each other I think it would be pretty.

Whatever you choose, don't do oval. They will inevitably move and never all point in the same direction, which would annoy me.

Stay away from square for same reason lol

Thank you all for the great tips! You raise a great point about the oval (and square) so I have definitely narrowed it down to round. I am leaning toward glass and my husband chrome- we will see what end up deciding!

There's only so much you can do with a knob. A plain chrome................sorta.........basic and HOME DEPOT : ) ? after the effort of reno.

Go with glass if you are going round. I am renting a place during my remodel and the bathroom has white doors with round chrome knobs - very pedestrian to me and not worthy of that gorgeous vanity.

Have you considered a cut glass effect like some of the repros from places like House of Antique Hardware.

Jan and Helen- I agree with you! I think the glass knobs are so lovely and add an extra something special. My husband is concerned the glass may look "too old" or antique in contrast to the new bathroom. i don't think we would have that issue with the one Jan suggest above

Glass round would be gorgeous! Bring home a couple of samples I bet he’ll come around when he sees it.

I think round glass knobs would very much suit the style of your pretty master bath. I don’t think they will look “old” or antique at all if you go with a simple glass (versus a cut glass.).

Your bath has a “delicate” look to it with the detailing on the cabinet glass, the slim sconces, marble, etc. I think glass would compliment that whereas a sold chrome knob might distract from it. I am looking at your design and note how the knobs or pulls on the tall linen cabinet “blend” and don’t stand out, and much prefer that look compared to the darker knobs on the vanity. Chrome of course is not as dark but they still stand out more than glass.

    Do what Jan said!

Yeah, I have that problem in my kitchen. My knobs are gorgeous, but half of them "spin". Don't fall for that bitty "spike" in the back that's supposed to stop them from doing this.

I agree that simple is best, but I also love glass knobs. If only the knobs on this thread were available to you, I'd pick this one:
