I can't imagine how wall paint can downplay such a major mismatch. I'd stop now and choose a different counter -- better to have the expense and delay now than to ruin a design you've obviously put a lot of thought into.

Otherwise, you have to go for distraction -- maybe a lime green?

Paint isn't going to change that it's a mismatch. If you can't change the countertop (which would be option 1, and BTW ALWAYS see the stone in person that you're putting into your home), I'd remove the tile from the vanity wall. If the countertop isn't sitting directly next to the cool grey tile it might not be as noticeable.

If the color in the rock base of your shower mimics the color of the counter, then perhaps choosing a color similar to those 2 will help tie it all together. Truthfully, until you actually paint the wall to the left of your counter and tile, you probably won't have a good sense of whether the color you choose will work.But, paint sample are cheap, and it sounds like removing and replacing the tile or counter are not things you are considering. You need to examine a lot more than just that Counter.

Like what waterproofing was used, and why unfinished crapinets are installed in your bathroom, and why Grade 17 marble was bought.

I don't think you need any more grey in there! I would do a soft white. Check out Dunn Edwards "Droplets"

Wait until your cabinets are stained, the lighting is finished, and the mirrors are up. Prime the wall so you are dealing with a more neutral base. Then, you will be able to see how various sample colors will influence how you see the countertop.

U got that right Candace!!!! I agree with Sammie J. Save the paint for last. Once everything is done you will get a better perspective. Good luck-post when you are done. I am sure it will be beautiful!
