Inground pool landscaping

We just put in our beautiful inground fiberglass pool and need ideas on how to landscape around it now. For now we will be getting 3 feet of concrete around the pool.
any suggestions for plants, bushes, trees, or flowers to put just around the perimeter of the pool would be so helpful!
Also, the pool has sun all day.

Love the pooL! we have a similar layout and we are going with ever green trees and perennials. I think a mix of green giants, esmeral green and holly would look beautiful around your pool.

Try to use whichever tropical looking (i. e. large parted) plants you can get to overwinter in your climate region so you don't have little bits of stuff falling on the water and getting sucked into the filtration system.

What about investing in some pots and planting clumping bamboo?

Also, 3 feet around the pool really isn't enough...you need a place for the lounge chairs.

I also advise having some umbrella sleeves installed when you pour...so much better than the bases that we have to have.

Around the pool will be 3 feet concrete..and then 10 feet to the fence as per township regulations.
So between the fence and the concrete we were thinking of flowers...shrubs...or trees with rocks.
Also we were thinking of extending the concrete to the back of the house for the lounge area, table.
Next year we will be getting rid of the deck and doing one level with an outdoor kitchen, grill sink bar with a pergola or roof.
Any suggestions are more than welcome!
