Am I crazy, or do these windows need a valance? I always thought they were kind of old-fashioned, but I feel like these windows are too sterile and boring without something to help them pop. The kitchen needs a new light fixture, a pretty backsplash, some benches at the island, and a decorative piece or two, but all that aside, I feel like the windows will still need something.

I was considering some blue and white patterned faux roman shades (you can see my dog's placemat for my design inclination). Or am I missing the mark and will wall decor sort this out?
