Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Bathroom Mirror Size Dilemma

Redoing a bathroom with a 48" vanity. With filler and countertop, it will probably measure about 50". What size mirror do I use? Thinking of hanging mirror horizontally since sink is off center and putting lighting on top of mirror instead of sconces on the side. Is 43"W x 31"H too big? But the most common next sizes are predominantly 36"W x 24"H...seems a little small to me?

A vanity with an off center sink, will look far better with a mirror on the entire wall, and framed, or one customized to most of the wall and framed. If planning lights above, best is recessed, augmented with wall sconces at side walls if this is a NICHE.

Failing that? Get TWO mirrors at 18 w x 36 high, and light each above. Center one over the sink and the other in logical spacing over counter top. Have them made at a frame shop, not that expensive

Best would have been a sink on center at that size.
