That was a great interview with Dale Martens and interesting info on those "other" gesneriads, esp. her explanation on how variegation came to be in streps - and the tip on leaf propagation of a variegated strep was something I had never thought about. That was such a valuable tip.

Excellent info about the ceramic/bisque self watering pots. Presoaking is absolutely necessary, and the tip about sanding the bisque part after a while is priceless. Rosie
