I am looking for a unified look for my 1956 California ranch. This is a traditional mid century modest sized home on a crawl foundation, wood framed, with hip roof (not the MCM style Eichler type with exposed timbers). I am trying to go towards a "Modern Scandinavian" aesthetic exterior and replace the stucco (this Northerner cannot get used to stucco) with wide horizontal siding panels and insulate the exterior at the same time - this house was built with no insulation as was the fashion across the country in the 50's.

I would like this type of window with the security hardware and similar dual active paned narrow doors for exterior patio. I want white or black interior and black exterior.

The standard American brands do not have this type of door/window, and I have not seen security hardware like this in the US unless it was on commercial building.

Any suggestions for sourcing an American brand? Has anyone used German window and imported to the US?
