the 2nd inspiration phot seem too tight of spade for the toilet.
A smaller vanity will give you more space to move around in but a lot less counter and storage, so evaluate what you must have and measure around that. The photos are predominately lighter or dark/light mix for the floors, looks like you are drawn to that look.

Are you replacing the floors as well? It would make sense to do that if you are trying to get rid of the beige.

Yes, I want to replace the tile in the shower area and the floor. I was going to paint the vanity and replace vanity top and fixtures. Get new lighting and maybe a new tub. the closet needs to be updated with maybe a door on it. I was thinking of maybe wainscoting the walls. I like white subway tile for shower with grey grout. The floor I'm torn between a dark tile or white tile. if I go with light tile, I will paint vanity a dark blue or sea salt. if I go with a dark floor, I would want a white vanity. I'm all over the place.

Well its finally time for the bathroom remodel. We decided to go with a white subway tile with black grout for walls and coal colored porcelain tile in a herringbone pattern for the floor. I also want a tile baseboard and chair rail with white grout for the walls. I'm scared about the black grout. In the tile store I was positive about it but I'm thinking I might go a bit lighter, maybe charcoal instead of black. I need help. ugh!! so many decisions!!

charcoal or a natural gray would be fine w/those tiles. I have a black marble basketweave and used black grout. not a big diff between black and charcoal. The only issue w/dark grout is in the shower. if you have hard water it will tend to lighten the grout over time. doesn't matter what type of grout or sealer you have. hard water leaves deposits. I can't use the lime away stuff because it's marble. so just keep that in mind for the shower.

Now to decide on lighting and size of the vanity! My current vanity is 49 inches. I was thinking of downsizing to a 36" reclaimed wood vanity with a vessel sink on top to give more space. I'm having it custom made so I could get the vanity a bit larger as well. Should I do one light over top mirror or stay with sconces on each side? I'm leaning towards the side scones. The mirror I want is from PB and in the last photo.

going from 49 to 36 is a big downgrade. I wouldn't do smaller than 42. What do you plan on doing w/that space on the right?? leave it open? no,,you have to take it to the wall. 36 is too small and you'll have a giant gap between the toilet.

have you ever had a vessel sink? they're a mess. do an under mount and a wall mount faucet, and give yourself some room. I just did my neighbors bathroom and we had to do a 36" . it's offset so she has more room for drawers on the left.

I have a wall mount in my own bathroom. best thing ever for cleaning.

stay with sconces but get them properly centered over your new vanity and sink. the current ones are too high.

do this. it's perfect . and get rid of the two outlets. you only need the one on the right.

Very dark grout with white subway is scary to me! I've seen so many where the tiler wasn't precise enough and the spaces aren't equal, dark grout really shows it!

Unless you like these looks, I would not do dark grout with light tiles

It accents the lines & visually makes the room appear smaller.

If get dark grout, watch out for cleaning products with bleach, because it can unevenly lighten the grout in areas

Don't shrink the vanity size! Why would you do that??? Stay with sconces. There are so many more attractive choices than over the mirror lights. Lower the location of your current sconces.

So my current vanity isn't too big? I was considering painting it white and just replacing the countertop with quartz and a new faucet. I was wondering if I should just go with a white grout now. Ugh so confusing. I really wanted a new wood vanity but could save a lot with old vanity. I'm all over the place again.

If want put a wood top on it. If in good shape why replace it?

Tammy,,I'd keep the vanity. The size is good and it's not in bad shape. (is it?)

Those other wood vanities above are not working for what you want to do.

So for sure you're doing the black floor tile and a white subway? Replace your tub before you tile. Forget about your lights and mirror right now. you need to rein yourself in and work in order. get you tile and vanity picked out.

you could still do your white subway. on the vanity you could do your bright white w/marble top, black top or paint it your dark turquoise shade.

with that black you could paint the vanity black, marble top, and the other design elements you see here. Very pretty. if you want, continue the floor design into the shower going straight up the back wall (solid black or white floor w/this one)

or try the black/white cookie dip hex. keep everything else black/white.

So, after seeing all of these, can you confirm what you want your floor to be?
