Not sure about the tv over fridge. Seems too high to enjoy.

Maybe 1 shelf left of sink then tv or no tv. A tablet on stand, instead.

Thats not a tv its a stainless steel faced cabinet which the KD thought would tie in with the stainless steel in the ovens and dishwasher. There is another one above the ovens. They are hinged like an appliance garage.

Can you post a layout of the rooms around the kitchen? I'd rather have a more efficient path for preparing meals but the location of the eating area and traffic paths need to be considered.

Instead of pricey cabinets that might be useful for once a year serving items, I'd bring the soffit down to some crown above the regular height cabinets.

I don't care for the SS cabinets floating up there. They seem random and don't tie in the appliances.

I'd flip the wall oven position with the fridge position. Prep goes fridge, sink, stove. Trash next to sink makes prep easier than trash under island. You might want to put a recycle centre under the island. Rounded island is kinder to your hips when you bump into it. But honestly, I'm not a fan of island seating and I'd let the whole thing be work surface rather than eating surface.

Neither. Your DW is in your prep zone and as Jennifer mentioned when we cook, we take food out of the fridge, wash it in the sink and prep between sink and stove. So ideally your left to right arrangement should be fridge, dw, sink, cooktop and ovens.

The kitchen design came about through help from folks in this forum. I am open to changing it but it was thought to be the best design for the space. The fridge and the oven can switch places. I would like some seating at the island. I have found that when visiting with friends for coffee etc we tend to hang out at the island.

Does anyone have any thoughts of the quality of the cabinets?

As in Buehl's plan, the dishwasher location needs to be on the right side of the sink so that loading and unloading doesn't interfere with the person prepping.

The fridge and oven location prevents zone crossing and allows the fridge to open without changing the wall depth, but has some backtracking.

Her island measurements give you nice aisle widths. Without a measured comparison, we can't tell if the above island configurations give you the same.

I have no input about the cabinets but, you need to stick to budget.

I have not personally seen Medallion cabinets, so I have no opinion on them.

I did find some past posts from people who have had Medallion cabinets. Seems like it's mixed reviews about different finishes wearing & tearing differently. A mix of good and bad experiences.
