Hello, planning to redo my kitchen and am looking for help on layout. It's a nice big room but the prep area is currently cut off by a wall and closet. Definitely at least moving the closet - that big boxy wall in the middle of the room to open up the u-shaped kitchen area but also considering taking down that wall completely for an Lshape along the exterior wall plus an island for more open concept but am not sure because then the front door would have you enter in the kitchen area kind of - the living room is also right there. I've included a pic of it's current state and a very rough mockup of what I mean by opening it. i also put a pic of a rough (sorry!) outline of the room layout and table area in to show theres a whole other large space with a great window included in the kitchen. Which way would you go? Keep the wall to have more of an entry area or lose it for the more open kitchen? or something else altogether?!
