I have a mid century modern home built in 1954 with open shelving in the carport. I picked up 2 fabulous 48 x 28x 16 inch cabinets at a used store that I am redoing to take the place of most of the open shelves. I hope these will be easier to keep clean with our springtime pollen dump. They have horrible translucent amber plastic sliding doors that don’t slide very well. Any experience with other materials? Not sure how 1/4 inch plywood would fare with our humidity.
