Hello Allison! The wall to the left of the tv needs something to highlight the height in the room but nothing too big or bulky. I would suggest a gallery picture wall with family photos, a tall mirror, a hanging art piece, or a bookcase. Can you move the tv to the center of the wall? If yes, a bookcase can be placed on either side of the tv. I hope my advice and opinion help toward your decision.

Not really. It’s centered with the sitting area. I was thinking a gallery wall, too. Should it be random, square, rectangular? Thanks for your help!

What if you moved the tv to the wall on the right? Then you would have a clear traffic path between those two doors. You could move the console that's in the corner against the wall and arrange your art around it. You could pull the sofa further away from the counter chairs, also.

I agree with Pam to move the TV to the other wall. It seems like it's in an awkward location.

That wall is small. It’s a difficult room. We had the tv over the fireplace but it’s hard to set us the furniture that way because the room is long and narrow.

I wonder what the family plaque/cabinet would look line on the area to the left of the TV....then put a plant or small reading chair and floor lamp in the now empty corner....just a thought. Very pretty room.

How about one of those wooden ladders, as tall as you like and put some throws on it? The room looks cozy :)

It’s hard to put stuff over nothing but you’re right the wall does seem . Try it and see!

Seems like going lower would be awkward, too. The ceilings are 12-13ft high. We are mounting the tv. Maybe that will help. I’m thinking about trying the gallery wall. The tv console is pretty long 72 inches. It’s only. 20 inches deep though. The tv is just huge- it’s the one battle I lost with my hubby. Lol
