I wouldn’t suggest doing bands in kitchen backsplashes as it looks cheap. In the second kitchen with the brown formica, you shouldn’t choose backsplashes with multiple tiles as it looks very outdated and busy, especially in small spaces. A white subway tile would have looked way better than both of these and probably most cost efficient
