You can utilize complete area as the openings or IN and OUT are in the centre. Some points you can utilize here are

1) If you don't want an open kitchen, you can opt for pocket sliding doors. This way you'll have the choice whether to keep it open or shut it.

2) If you want to go as per Vastu, place the cooking range on the EAST SOUTH EAST corner, water on the EAST NORTH EAST.

3) You can utilize the heights by providing over head storage on either side.
