Will try to drag mirror out of storage and hang it for another shot. But we could do something else too......

Love the lamps, but I think they’re too heavy to have 2 flank the console. I’d just use 1 lamp .

Here is a better shot, with the mirror and another cabinet that fits alongside the dresser. Not loving the mirror. Maybe lamps could be spread out to ends of the unit?

I love the lamps, but they seem to be the same height or taller than the console/chest and it just seems to be "off". Unfortunately I think the mirror is too small if you're going to have both cabinets there. I'd seriously consider hanging a piece of art in place of a mirror.

Could the smaller furniture piece with the mirror above it be placed elsewhere in the room?

it seems like everywhere I look these days, lamps seem very oversized from the styles in the past. I know my dresser is low by today's standards, but shorter lamps seem to make the furniture look even shorter! Can't imagine what it would look like with higher ceilings!

I agree mirror isn't the right fit here. Decorator is coming back tomorrow and hadn't seen the lamps in place with the two chests and mirrors in place.

These lamps are pretty pricey and I don't want to make a costly mistake, but I do love them. Does it help if I spread them out more?

I really think the lamps are perfect with your dresser. Placement is really going to depend on what you do between them. On the longer set-up you have a lot of space to work with/fill between them, which could end up looking overwhelming. I think they look good on the original piece, esp if you add a nice piece of art.

I do have a smaller wall that the smaller chest could go on, but then I think the dresser would look lost on the longer wall by itself. I might try to move the chair away from the window and into the corner on the left, but the ottoman might block the bathroom door. Wouldn't want to be tripping over it in the middle of the night!

Hoping the decorator will have some suggestions about furniture placement, art or other decor to finish the space. If I keep both pieces together, moving the lamps in a bit from the edge where I show them now might improve the look.

I did some research on lamp height and see where it says the height of the lamp from the floor should be 58-64". That applied to table lamps too where they said that would be the combined height of the table and lamp. These lamps fall right in that range, so that makes me feel better about the height.

Exactly what Olychick said. The lamps are gorgeous and they look great with the dresser. I don't really like the longer setup and that seems to mess with the scale of the lamps. I would find another wall for that short dresser. I don't think the wall will swallow the wider dresser, especially with the chair taking up floor space by the window.

Would the mirror work oriented the wide way in between the lamps? Not sure.. just an idea.

I like the lamps, and think they look nice on either end of the larger piece. When you put the two pieces together it does fill the space, but almost too much to my eye. I think you need a bit more breathing room, and if you use the smaller piece elsewhere, that will help a lot.

Update - I went ahead and bought the lamps. The mirror is coming down and I have my eye on a large piece of art from Arhaus to go between the lamps. It's 42 x 34.

The room really feels calming and makes me happy to be in there - for the first time ever! I plan to get solid bedding in shades of blue/gray and cream/tan. I hope to be able to replace the carpet with something lighter than what is there now - see the sample in the first few pictures.
