It’s a foot plus tall. Shade, obviously. I can’t find It on Maine local orchid sites.

And... just looked at the July blooming thread because I need to get out there and take some photos, and saw a lovely picture of the same orchid on there! Epipactum. NHBabs said it can be a nuisance. Will have to find out more.

It's the same one I found! Epipactis helleborine!

So I checked it out. Goal is to have it gone by this weekend, and every piece of root rhizome. Never thought I'd be happy to see an orchid go!

It is trouble. I have them pop up all the time. Be vigilant about removing them. Throw everything into the trash. Do not dump it into a compost pile.

Wonder if you could dig it up and grow it in a large pot like one of those plastic whiskey half barrels?

I have it in a bed where nothing grows easily. If I can get it to grow there, I'll be thrilled! Sorry to see yours gone :(
