First look at your whole house and see what it is about. If you are only replacing vanity, does it go with rest of that bathroom scheme? Also look at your walls and floorboards and doors. Will it make your room better or will it hinder what you want to accomplish? If it is a total rehab, do what you like. But remember, you will be living with it for quite a few years. Take pictures with your phone. Notice the lighting as well in your room.
