Sometimes it's easier to start fresh by clearing the old away. Take all the decorative items off the walls, the floor and the shelves and put them on the dining room table. Put the tapestry back up and put the lamps back. Pack the rest away for the summer. Use some fresh flowers in a vase every week. In the fall, go through your boxes and decide if you want to keep any of it or give it away.

Take a look for new lamps in a slightly taller style.

, I did finally make a big change to this room in December. Now i do need some help pulling it together. I've been stuck because I am just not sure. any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Thank you Vandar!! It is a big improvement from what was there before. Now i need to chose lamps, tables, and other accent pieces. I plan to neutralize the sofa, but i need a vision for the rest of the room. there is a blank wall between the loveseat and the kitchen and i'm not sure what to put there. I may need to hire a decorator to decorate these odd spots.

Well I think you have done quite alright on your own! Mabe you just need some time to take it all in and then move slowly choosing each peace at a time. Trust yourself, it is already looking as if it was "decorator done"!
