We have decided to go with Schluter jolly white. It's a surprisingly good match to the matte biscuit tile. We also think the bullnose going perpendicular to our running bond pattern is little distracting.

Please make sure your tile does not set directly on the countertops. There should be a grout line space between the tops and the first row of tile that gets filled with grout color matched silicone.

Thanks for the tip. I've hired a pro to install it. He mentioned the job would take 3 days, with the last one being caulking. That said, I will make sure to keep an eye on the spacing when he's installing it.

I'm back with an update on my tile project.

We used the Modern Dimensions line from Daltile. We chose their 2 1/2 × 8 1/2 to match the cabinet rails. Unexpectedly each tile was slightly bowed in the middle. You may be able to see in the photo it has a slight basketweave effect.

We chose Matte Biscuit to match the cabinets since our countertop had so much movement.

We did end up using Schluters jolly edging in white (it's really a creamy white) and are happy with it. I wish the installer was a little more precise with his cuts but I think I'm the only one who will notice.

This project didn't use fancy, high end designer tiles but our kitchen didn't call for it and wouldn't be able to handle it. In this case simple was the best choice.

this looks fantastic and 6 years later I'm about to use the same tile and needed to know what color edge to use. What grout did you use. I like how it blends in.
