Thanks! I would consider a sofa and two chairs placed across from each other perpendicular to the fireplace and t.v. so you can take advantage of both focal points. You could place the sofa with its back to the windows and two chairs (swivel would be good for both watching t.v. and looking at the fireplace) with a coffee table and area rug between them.

The t.v. needs a much longer console and a way to conceal the cords.

I wouldn't hang curtains. You would need so many panels to look full enough that you would lose a lot of natural light.

Such a lovely space! Not being a pro, I would arm myself with the palette I want to use, a few photos of the furniture style you prefer, your room's floor plan, drawn to scale, then take it with me to a furniture store you would consider buying from and ask them about it. Most will be glad to offer information. Guess it's the chicken's way out BUT whatever information you gather will help you gain focus. (Then I'd hit a few more furniture stores and see what they had to say.) I love a lot of light in my home. Will you be able to play up those great windows and let the sun shine in?

You have a lovely home but the wall color seems too dark and gives too much emphasis to the molding instead of blending in more harmoniously. I don't know if painting is on your agenda, but warm off-white walls would give you almost unlimited options for furniture, rugs and accessories and also instantly update your space.
