First impression is that all the furnishings are squeezed up tight together, but it looks like there’s plenty of room to spread out. Buy a larger rug because I think your current rug is driving your furniture arrangement.

yes, i'm looking for a larger rug. This rug is 12' but the room is 23 so the furniture looks like an island. i had hoped to have 2 seating areas but we need the walkways (kitchen to screen porch needs to be a wide path) maybe we could have a different arrangement for winter.

You can't do what he shows and have it look like it was designed or planned. His AI slop ignores that your coffered ceiling start right up against your walls and would be partly covered by any built-ins that went to the ceiling. AI also pushed your fireplace forward, when your wall is totally flat.

Unfortunately these are all details that should have been worked out during the design phase. You might want to use a good local designer, because I think most ideas are just going to look like badly added on afterthoughts.

Not a pro but i’d remove the shelf and just mount the frame tv - keeping it clean and simple -

a larger rug and a set of chunkier lamps on side tables will go a long way - i’d also hang curtain panels on either sides of the windows to add some softness (it will also visually shrink the width of the tv/fp wall which i think is a good thing)

i’d skip the built ins for now

We did start with the sofa facing the fireplace but I sit on the couch all the time and I didn’t like looking at the blank wall and tv, now I get to see the view through the screen porch! Plus it feels more separate from the kitchen.

My husband will love the massive tv idea.
