That's amazing! What kind of mango variety did the seed come from? What do you do with your plant in winter? And how old is it from seed?

It's either Keitt or Kent because I only plant the seed of mangoes I like and those are my favorites. Actually it started flowering at about 5 years in container and always around Dec-Jan it blooms but never get to fully fruit since I put it in the garage during winter and of course no sun. The tree is 8 years old and for the first time it bloomed at the right time, this time mid May.

It bloomed in mid May and they already look like this? wow, I did not know they ripened so fast.

It's not ripe yet, although it has red/orange color which started 2 weeks ago. I think it could be ready to be picked by maybe mid to late August. I couldn't wait for that day to come since this is the first time I will taste the fruit. I do have another mango tree same age in container but no signs of flower, ever. I hate to kill it. Also, I have started to do a cleft graft 3 weeks ago, and now have a grafted tree from this fruiting tree. So I'm hoping the fruit is what I hope for.

Don't kill the other that hasn't fruited. Put it up for sale.

That's a thought, maybe sell it locally since it'll be hard to ship it for it's about 7 feet.TBH the reason it has not put out flowers maybe because I haven't been taking care of it as well as my other mango trees,

No doubt your patience will be rewarded!! And you have the advantage of the right climate, so keep it healthy. I suppose your tree is planted in the ground. I love Kent because it is vigorous growing and not desease-prone. Like you, also planted a seed that had started to sprout inside the fruit.
