Check out Rawson's Lists at hostalibrary.org and you will find Plant Characteristics, which includes lists of both large upright hostas, and small to medium upright hostas.

Another name for these varieties is urn shaped hostas, and there are quite a few available. Hopefully people will chime in with some of their favorites.

Check out SILVER STAR. It was known as Ginbuchi Tachi but confusion with another sparked the name change.

the most upright one I have is Harpoon. It's a nice one.

I should add that the edge that is riddled with hole is due to a sug infestation I have this year. I haven't had a problem for a decade until last year. Its out of control this year and I will have to resort to chemicals:(

Beverly, I guess the long, cold winter wasn't brutal enough for those slugs! The year I used pellets after each rainfall really decreased the population in my yard. I think I got rid of a few generations of them! I just noticed in the last three days that grasshoppers are at it again! They are chewing large chunks. Today it was Brother Stefan...and you know how tough those leaves are! Lots of ghoppers appeared rather suddenly. :(. I would rather have slugs...easier to deal with.

I have 2 small dogs so I worry about putting something out they can get into. Repels All may keep rabbit and deer away from hosta, but it attracts my 2 furry boys. :p
