hi, last week i planted a whole bag of seeds of oregano into a small container, and they just started sprouting. will at least some of the plants survive or will the overcrowdedness kill them all?

While some might survive, you definitely should thin them out to a couple of plants or so. How big is the container?

I have one plant that covers three feet. It is not in a container. When I did grow an oregano in a container, I was taking rooted segments off of it for people so it would continue to fit in the 15" pot.

how many in a bag.. and how big a pot .... you really have to give us some info to speculate on ....

and where are you ..... that you are planting see in august ... and hoping perhaps to transplant them???

i would probably taste one ... might be usable regardless of size ... you have heard of bean sprouts.. why not oregano sprouts??? .. you will have to research this .... if you dont get an answer here ....
