Hard to tell when the flowers actually bloom, so I just shake the branches occasionally when I am around the miracle fruits plants in my yard. Works for me.

My miracle fruit bush is over 6 feet tall and I have never hand pollinated it. It bears fruit several times a year. It does like acid soil and you obviously have that. Here is a link to some more information.

Hmm. I will try shaking it every few days. The Curious Thing is, it has had these flowers for weeks and weeks. I would think that they would have been ready by now.... But, nothing to lose right!

How tall is your plant? Maybe it's too young to bear fruit. When we first bought our miracle fruit it was about 2 feet tall and the vendor said "you're young, you'll see it bear fruit". It eventually did.

I have one that I bought last year. It grows vigorously and seems to bloom all the time yet doesn't set a single fruit. I'm hoping that they not being old enough really is the issue.

It is a super slow growing plant and the flowers open very slowly as well. Just be patient with them and they will bloom. Mine usually bloom in bursts.

Three years and still not a single berry on my plant. It's grown so much (5' now) and produces lots of flower buds but like the OP none of them seem to fully open.

Miracle flowers sometimes open but after they have dried out and died. Do the petals and stigma come out or does the bud stay brown and fall off

T Popp, are you asking me or the original poster? Mine stay looking like this then they dry up and hang on the plant without ever opening until they eventually fall off. The plant seems to always be growing new buds but none of the buds ever open!

I bought a MF plant 2 yrs ago. It had several fruits on it when I bought it. Now it has grown to 4ft and seems healthy but no flowers or fruit at all. I did pot it up a little so maybe its just concentrating on growing roots and getting taller.

How much sun do you all have yours in? Mine is in part filtered sun/shade so I don't know if I should be giving it more sun.

Mine is in sun until around noon. I'm going to move it to afternoon sun today. Hopefully that makes all the difference.

It may need more nutrients and humidity. My plant sets fruit mostly in the summers when it was humid and hot.

Well It did this during the heat of summer too. What nutrients? I mean it's grown so much and the leaves are so green!

I would use a fertilizer not With much nitrogen and plenty of phosphorus and potassium. But be careful not to add too much

Thanks T Pop. Well if my having moved it to more intense sun doesn't help it to open those buds I'll try feeding it. I hate to try multiple things at once because then I'll never actually know which actually solved the problem. Would'nt it producing so many flower buds in the first place mean that it's getting enough macro nutrients though?

Its plenty humid here where it rains much of the summer and i hit mine with bloom booster every once in awhile when I fertilize the other plants near it. Maybe it just needs more sun.
