Just picked up a Roper RT150FR rear tine 17" 5HP tiller. Has craftsman on the B&S motor as well as a cover guard. Believe this same tiller was sold under several names including craftsman.

Anyway, initially cleaned the fuel system and rebuilt the carb. Was firing through the carb, so pulled the head to find a stuck intake valve. Pulled both valves, cleaned & lapped, set lash and reinstalled. Motor then fired on first pull and runs great. Goes in forward & drives fine. Same in R. Put it in "T" and it drives forward and will engage the tines until they barely even touch the ground then are stopped with any resistance and make a noise. I understand this is a transmission issue, but any idea what?
