Has anyone bought a Bertazonni gas range recently?

Has anyone bought a Bertazonni gas range recently? I am deciding between a Bertazonni 30" Master series range- and a Viking. It seems the newer model of the Bertazonni has a temperature gauge on the front. I love the look and price of the Bertazonni but I know the Viking has greater name recognition. I am concerned with some of the older reviews of Bertazonni's. Have they corrected the issues that people were having? Thanks much for any input!

Would love an answer too, but sadly this is likely not to happen on these threads.

these would probably be the last two ranges i would buy. Bluestar, Bosch, Miele

Viking because of service issues. Berta looks great but is barely functional with an almost on/off oven control

Can you say why on the Bluestar and Bosch?

Bluestar and Bosch have some level of service available. The units actually work

Hi - we bought a Bertazonni 30 inch range when we re-did our kitchen earlier this year - installed it in May - and I love it. I'm not a baker, so I can't speak to that, but I cook ALL the time, and it's behaved like a dream. I'm in my early 60s, so I've owned/used many different ranges in my lifetime, and I would say without hesitation that I would buy this very model again. (I believe it's their least expensive 30 inch.) I'm roasting a large pork shoulder as I type this. I, too, read lots of negative reviews before purchasing this range, and was halfway expecting to get to know a service repair person well, but we've had not a single issue after constant use these past 6.5 months. Best of luck with your decision, if I'm not already too late.

PS - I forgot to mention that the oven is not cavernous, but certainly ample for a 24 pound turkey, and the burners seem to be plenty powerful - very hot and fast. The oven has a temperature dial next to the temperature knob on the front panel, and the readout it gives is extremely accurate (one of the first things I checked when I first started cooking with it). It's more accurate than the indicated temperature knob settings, but so are most ovens, in my experience. (It tends to run a little hot.) I've yet to run into an oven that is 100% accurate; that being said, this oven was very easy to get used to, and the entire range has been a pleasure to cook with. It's sort of my pride and joy in the new kitchen.

@Andrew Cooke thanks for the review. I am seriously considering this brand and am a professional baker. I've read they have mad a lot of improvements since 2018 so any review prior to 2019, is no longer relevent to their current line.

cryslunsford I'd love to hear if you went ahead with the Bertazonni? I'm considering the 36 induction range. Thanks
