Front door design dilemma

So the front door has full glass sidelights and an elliptical transom (picture 1). The issue we are having is that the sidelights are full glass and you can see through them to the living room. My husband is not loving this as you can see “his chair” and the sun shines directly through in the evening. I would love to add a privacy glass and maybe a wood panel on the bottom. Does anyone have suggestions on how we can work around this. I’ve looked into changing the glass in the sidelights but due to the transom design, I don’t think leaded privacy glass would work well I priced a new door but with the transom, it’s over $3500. I tried the window cling but it looked cheap. Help
