My first question is what color will the siding be once you redo it? Are you keeping it white?

We will not be going back with basic siding. We were quoted minimum 25k for basic vinyl, so it's going to be something we do down the road for now.

Black or blue would be beautiful! I'd consider adding flower boxes too!

IMO the shutters do not work on your windows they are too small and why 2 styles .

I was still building the others, but wanted to get an idea of what they would look like. The red are the original ones before previous owners changed the windows.

I agree a darker color for the shutters would go lovely with the red roof and white siding. I like the look of a black, navy or even charcoal gray against the white siding with the metal roof.

I don't think the shutters enhance the look of your home and I'd skip them. When it's time to paint, I think a dark color with beefed up window trim would help blend in the incongruous addition to the right of the front porch.

I always find it helpful to use the app ColorSnap by Sherwin Williams to play around with colors. Try as I might, the blue and red weren’t coming in dark enough, but you get the idea with these examples. Everyone has different opinions about using shutters, so I’m not going to suggest either way, but the ones by the front door would never really serve a purpose. I’d take those off for sure. I think your house is really sweet and will only look better when you fill the window boxes and finish the landscaping. Good luck!

Dark red-more blue than orange. Would tie in well with your roof. You can always repaint when you re-side. The black and dark blue are colonial and boring. The red more cottage and cheery. Paint your window boxes to match!
