Now I remember this plant. I was hoping that my S. tri. futura Asahi had puped a few out. I called them Asahi-moon. But they regrew the yellow stripes back in the next new leaves.

Stush - yes, that's it !! Or rather it was it :) Is there only one leaf 'Singer's Silver' (I see only one) or more? Where did you keep it - full sun or partial shade? Maybe she had too good conditions :))

Dang! The top photo, especially! Very, very nice. I just love that green and silvery together. Could it possibly be even nicer with the creams? I think so! You plant looks like a celebration.

I gave one to Barb hoping it would stay that way. She told me that some of hers also started out that way and later started producing the yellow. I think the first few months and first 3 or 4 leaves were like Singer's Silver then the yellow started showing up. I keep it in morning sun then shade rest of the day.

I called and left a message with someone at San Marcos. Maybe I won't hear anything. Surely they are big and busy for one plant. I am going to follow up with an email. I'm also going to see if Barb has any pictures! Your plant is a little lucious. I don't have a collection, just a few plants, but I think a SS needs to come home here, if it can be managed. I hate to say a promise that I may not be able to keep. Got 5 or 6 new pups sprouting right now so next year when they are a bit bigger, I plant to give more out. Every year when I bring them out from winter storage I re-pot them and remove all the pups. It keeps the plant growing larger and producing more. That's why I hope it never sends a bloom stock out. That will mean curtains for the main plant but still produces more pups.

You repot and remove pups every year? For all of your Sans? So that I am clear: removing pups from parent plant results in mom plant growing larger and producing even more pups?

When I had Hahniis (kick self) a few years ago, I did not have them long enough to enjoy the little ones. The ones I have now, well they have had a happy season. So, if I remove and replace puppers, mom plant gets larger and produces even more pups?

Last winter, a rage came over me. Plant fever was back. I'm so glad to be entering the cooler seasons with life back in the home. Now when the Spring fever hits way to early, I can plan to make room for pots of individual young! I already have plans for a couple of neighbors, and a new plant lady friend, who has some sort of Hahnii started for both of us.

I figured I'd do some dividing, I just had no idea that one particular plant of mine might have something to show, if I unburden it. Thank you.

Removing pups are good for the mother plant but not so good for the pups. If removed too early the tend to rot or die easily. That's why I said I will remove them next year when I bring them out for next season. They will be about 8" tall and healthy.

Some of my haworthia who over pup and the whole bunch stays small. By removing the pups makes the mother plant larger and stronger. For haworthia I keep them in almost pure gritt but sans I mix compost / gritt / bone meal and gives me a chance to renew the soil. I try to leave the root ball intact as much as possible.

If I sent any one a too small pup and it died, Please let me know so I can send a larger one next year.

From all my sans, these Asahi are the most tuffest and strongest ones I have every grew. Not to add the most showy.

This plant fell off the wall and had to repot it and spotted more pups.

Excellent. Then next Spring/Summer I will have pups that will be at least 1.5- 2yrs old to replant, and I will select for repotting, the largest pups, and leave the smaller to attain to a bit more maturity.

I was amazed at how a Moonshine pup exposed itself and grew! It was so fast, and it has some size to it after a single growing season! It is already about 9in tall, and so beautifully pale. It was a novelty to find it offered in this area. Next spring, there will be two pots!

It looks like the leaves of the plants above don't just have color. They look like they have some wave, or maybe some 'curling'? And it looks like different leaves have different texture. I see that I am going to have to make myself some family tree diagrams to boost my brain.

Would this possibly be the Singers Silver Sansevieria?

Looks like it to me. Nice plant. It looks sort of hahnii size. Singers Silver is larger growing up to 15 inches or so. But young plants take time to get started and attain that size.

Adaira, may I ask where you found this?

That is a nice looking plant. I really like the white/gray over green.
