The Fourth Corner

Our 100-year-old four-square house usually has large enough rooms for our needs, but sometimes I end up with an odd corner - like in this bedroom. I have a closet door to the right, the main entry door on the left and a vent to work around. Any suggestions for how to style this odd corner? I've included photos of the other three corners of the space.

I see that you have a dresser in one of the corners. The empty corner in question would be a good place for a bench or some other type of seating (one that still allows access to the vent). If storage is an issue, some hooks or wall mounted shelving above that would be great. It doesn't have to be elaborate; sometimes a set of hooks is great for a sweater, jewelry or a set of keys instead of them cluttering a surface space. It looks like you've done a great job at keeping your space clutter-free, so kudos for that!

You can always put art or a mirror there but it's always nice if you can find a functional solution instead of something that just fills the space. I'd love to see pics when you're done!

with both doors opening onto the corner, I'm not sure you need anything in that corner. Wouldn't be seen by anyone entering room & would be hidden when cupboard opened.

It doesn't look like there is enough room for a bench to me. I agree with Sharon that it doesn't "have" to have anything. But if it bugs you & you feel like it needs something, artwork or floating shelves might work. We are missing a pic of what is on the wall to the left of the entry. True? Is this a guest room? There is another door to the left of the chest in your pic #4. Is that to a toilet? If the room has 3 doorways in it, I think the empty space might be a very good thing.

If you want TV in the bedroom you could wall mount it in the corner on a swing arm and the gear and wiring would fit in the closet.

A bookcase would fit. Like the hook idea too. Or you could hang a dressing mirror, which is always nice in a bedroom.

Please center the modern painting on the wall - it's touching the drapes.

You could get a small lingerie chest ... 12" in diameter if it would fit.

Not much room with the doors opening to the corner. However, a floor plant or 48"-60" wall art/mirror should do.
