One thing I see is the bathroom. If you place the sink across from the toilet you can reduce the width of the bathroom area and give that space to the kitchen. This means you can move the table over and include counter in the run to the left of the entrance door.. . . . .The second catch is the desk. With laptops and phones you can do without one, ime. This will expand your seating area for a more friend oriented layout with added seating for guests. A sofa with daybed end and an upholstered large ottoman/table would make that space more entertainment focused. . . . .Looking at the bathroom again you have a 9' long shower. You can reduce that and fit the toilet or sink in the space on the right end for a more compact configuration. I don't think that gets you more space outside the bathroom. Is there room to open the closet from the bedroom side? And is there room for a nightstand big enough for a clock, a cellphone, and one's glasses? (Assuming reading light would be wall-mounted.)
