Hello, Great question! The material has a low-tack adhesive that's a little stronger than a post-it note, to allow it to be repositioned or moved. While the adhesive seems to stick well to a corkboard surface, it also tends to pull away little particulates of it when adjusting or repositioning, thus fouling the adhesive. If one were especially careful and did initial installation with a very light touch it could work out very nicely as the weave of the fabric material accommodates pins very well. I hope this helps!!
