blinds help? shutters help?

35 windows, lowes recommends levolor, another place hunter douglas, both JUST look like white faux wood blinds to me. Same with Shutters...and i dont care about the brand, i just want it to function well be durable, control light, and look great in my home. From doing some research I think I might do shutters on my windows facing the street but I can't decide between real vs faux wood? In the nursery and our master bedrooms I am thinking 2" cordless vs corded blinds.l because when we sleep we like it darker but at some point I plan to do drapes so not sure if I need blinds to be the end all solution for me? I also don't need brand names either unless one brand truly has value over the other. I feel out of my league and a bit overwhelmed...what do you think, any ideas would help greatly? By the way: Levolor quote was $3,000 and Hunter Douglas was $4800 neither quote includes shutters which for my three 22" x "71 and 16" x "71 inch seems to be approx an additional $1,500- $2500 quote for 4 total Bali, Graber and Sunburst shutter options...and not sure which to select either? Simply put, HELP?
