The bookcase and shelf are not centered. However, you really need something larger here for greater impact. A console with a mirror above it would create a nicer look for your entry.

I don't understand the use of a small bookcase in an entryway. I would think a long bench or console table would more useful. You could also add a large plant and/or a large basket for shoes/nerf guns :)

I would recommend placing the shelf and bookcase elsewhere. In their place, if you like mid-century modern, West Elm has a nice entryway mirror.

Below the mirror you could put a minimalist entryway bench.

To the right of the bench add something unique and eye-catching like this shoe rack.
